(September 2026) LEHVOSS UK Ltd, a subsidiary of the LEHVOSS Group, announces the launch of ZOΩ3GO™ Softgels, a new trademark and finished product concept that brings together sustainable, science-based marine lipids in a convenient, ready-to-market format.
Developed in collaboration with Zooca® The Calanus Company and Golden Omega®, the concept combines the unique science on metabolic health and healthy aging and fatty acid profile of Zooca® Calanus® Oil with ORIVO verified, high-quality fish oil concentrates from Golden Omega®, delivering both differentiation and regulatory relevance for innovative omega-3 formulations.
A balanced omega-3 concept: differentiation meets compliance
ZOΩ3GO™ Softgels are designed to address a key need in the omega-3 category: combining innovative marine nutrition with the well-recognised regulatory benefits of omega-3s.
The formulation brings together Zooca® Calanus® Oil, which provides a unique omega profile in a wax ester form, containing EPA, DHA, SDA and other essential fatty acids, as well as naturally occurring bioactives including unique marine policosanols and natural astaxanthin. It is combined with Golden Omega® high quality fish oil TG concentrates, which delivers targeted levels of EPA and DHA to support established EFSA health claims, alongside a unique ORIVO-verified origin from pure anchovies sourced in the South Pacific Ocean.
This combination enables product developers to meet EFSA requirements for authorized EPA and DHA omega-3 health claims related to heart, brain and vision support, with one or two softgels per day. At the same time, it strengthens the product’s nutritional story through the scientific value of Zooca® Calanus® Oil and the distinctive sustainability credentials of both branded ingredients compared with standard omega-3 products.
From concept to market-ready solution
ZOΩ3GO™ Softgels are positioned as a finished product concept, supporting European brands in accelerating product development and market entry. ZOΩ3GO™ Softgels are also available for the US market.
Key benefits include defined EPA and DHA levels aligned with EFSA health claims, a premium softgel format and appealing colour that meet consumer expectations, and a compelling combination of innovation and sustainability through Zooca® Calanus® oil and Golden Omega fish oil concentrates. The concept also gives nutraceutical brands a streamlined route to market, helping accelerate product development with an innovative, ready-to-launch solution.
Why this matters for the omega-3 category
The omega-3 category is entering a more mature and competitive phase, shaped by consumers looking for science-backed, convenient and responsibly sourced nutritional solutions. While EPA and DHA remain the recognised foundation of the category, brands are increasingly challenged to move beyond standard fish oil positioning with products that are innovative, easy to explain, trusted by consumers and distinctive on shelf.
“This is where ZOΩ3GO™ Softgels are particularly relevant. The concept responds to several key industry trends at once: the continued demand for EPA and DHA with clear health positioning backed by scientific research; the search for innovative lipid sources and differentiated ingredient stories; the growing importance of sustainability and traceability; and the need for faster, lower-risk innovation in finished supplement formats,” said Teresita Rudà, Head of Marketing and Brand Positioning at LEHVOSS.
“We are pleased to see Zooca® Calanus® Oil featured in concepts such as ZOΩ3GO™, where its distinctive marine composition can support more differentiated and forward-looking approaches to omega-3 supplementation,” said Ole Sakkestad, Chief Sales Officer Human Health and Nutrition at Zooca® The Calanus Company.
“To win in a mature and competitive market, brands don’t just need a new formulation—they need a premium standard of quality that drives real commercial success,” asserted Sarah Leach, Business Development Manager at Golden Omega.
First commercial launch in Europe
The first commercial launch of a product based on the ZOΩ3GO™ concept is planned in Europe this autumn, with the food supplement brand Holistic in Sweden, marking an important step in bringing this differentiated omega-3 solution from concept to market. The ZOΩ3GO™-based supplement will be sold under the product name “Holistic Omega-3 Fiskolja PRO”. This collaboration highlights the relevance of ZOΩ3GO™ for brands looking to respond to evolving consumer expectations with premium, science-based, ready-to-launch marine nutrition solutions.
